Colorado Adventure Center Zipline Now Open!
March 7, 2014 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Colorado Adventure Center’s Canopy Zip is now open for the 2014 Season!
Zoom through the beautiful Rocky Mountain winter with us! Our Idaho Springs zip line location is right off of I-70, so you can stop by on your way to or from skiing in the Colorado Mountains! Call and ask about our winter zip specials!
Zip high above the treetops and over the rushing river to the next tower that’s more than a thousand feet away. You’ll enjoy amazing views of the surrounding canyons, river and highway in every direction and zip thousands of feet on a trip with us.
- Among the longest and highest courses in Colorado
- Zip more than 3,000 feet total!
- Zoom nearly a quarter mile on the longest ride!
- Climb just a few sets of stairs before the fun begins
- Zippers remain high above the ground the entire time
- Try nighttime zipping on our course — a completely different experience!
- Only 35 minutes from downtown Denver
In addition to the thrills, our canopy tour just outside the charming town of Idaho Springs is on three separate gold mining claims. Your zipline guides will talk about the history of the Idaho Springs area, which is nestled between the hills and Interstate 70 just a short drive from Denver. Our base camp offices where you’ll begin your Colorado zipline adventure are right inside the historic Argo Gold Mine and Mill, where gold was processed.
Start your zipline adventure by gearing up in a climbing harness, helmet and gloves. Your guide will explain the gear and how to use it, as well as give a safety briefing and demonstration. The course consists of steel cables stretching between five tall wooden towers. You’ll climb the first launch tower, clip into a double wheel pulley and step off! The force of gravity will zip you down the cable high among the pine treetops to a landing platform on the next tower.
- Complete five zips in all!
- Cross over Clear Creek three times!
- Enjoy rafting and zipping in one day with us
